A leader in their market segment, our client is a renowned finest producer of gourmet salad mixes across Australia. Now entering an exciting phase of growth, they are seeking hands-on Shift Managers to join their team.
About the role
Reporting to the Production Manager, this hands-on individual will be responsible for the day to day operations of a key production line, with full accountability for ensuring safety, quality and delivery requirements are met.
Day to day management of production staff ensuring production of premium quality products
Ensure the development, implementation and direction of best manufacturing practices
Manage labour costs and budgets to ensure value and benefit to the business.
Lead continuous improvement initiates and drive efficiencies across the process.
Reduce operational costs of production ensuring the quality of output.
Be a visible role model and promote a safety culture
Skills and Experience
Formal tertiary qualifications, with a minimum of 2 + years’ experience in similar role in the food or beverage manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture a team first culture
Specific expertise in maintenance, quality, health and safety in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
Knowledge and experience in managing HACCP and GMP standards
