Sales Support Specialist

About the business:

As a one- stop solutions provider our client offers an end to end solution for ITS – Intelligent Transportation System clients from components and design to the implementation and operation of systems. Due to the continued growth of the APAC business, they are currently looking to recruit a talented Sales Support Specialist to provide sales support to the Sales division.

About the role:

Reporting to the VP Sales & Account Management, your man duties and responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage and coordinate sales activities within Oceania (Australia and New Zealand) across the company’s department ensuring projects are planned and followed;

  • Liaise with VP Sales & Account Management sales strategies, business planning and forecasting activities;

  • Ensure all sales operations are executed, adhering to the procedures of approvals;

  • Establish and maintain a solid relationship with project managers and support the local BID Manager in cost estimations for projects and cost calculation;

  • Preparing sales plans and bids, with marketing and other departments, ensuring technical and financial accuracy;

  • Contributing to the identification and development of new market opportunities in collaboration with the Sales team;

  • Manage customer orders and ensure the system is up to date;

  • Ensure that the bid responses are submitted in a professional and well-presented format, while at the same time adhering to the bid format requirements;

  • Be actively involved in process improvement to fine-tune the bid processes;

  • Work with legal to make sure that the proposals get legal clearance before submissions;

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or similar discipline.

  • 3-5 years minimum experience as a Sales Support or similar Sales technical positions;

  • Experience in project management and BID management;

  • Technical understanding of electrical and software engineering principles highly desirable;
    Knowledge of methodology for cost estimations in BID projects;

  • Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving capabilities;

  • Excellent communications skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
