Facing an exciting period of growth, they are seeking a smart, energetic and experienced Software Engineer to join their team in Melbourne, VIC.
About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader - Software, you will be responsible for the development of control software and software tools for various products and systems.
Design, develop and test reliable real-time control software
Ensure compliance with country specific grid codes
Oversee all stages of software development, from feasibility studies to implementation and testing
Developing GUI applications to design specific tools to be ground by CNC machines
Solving mathematical and geometrical problems in 2D and 3D spaces
Development of a client-server application
Development of a web application for managing users of the client-server application
Investigating and fixing issues reported by customers and/or worldwide company branches
Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Mechatronics or Computer Science or Software Engineering or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer with strong acumen of CADCAM or simulation software
Experience in operating systems such as Linux and programming languages (Java, C/C++ or similar)
Knowledge of Scrum or similar Agile framework
Experience in Software development processes and methodologies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and clients
Understanding of all aspects of the Software Development lifecycle
Knowledge across software configuration management tools including defect tracking systems
