About the role

Reporting to the Quality Manager, we are seeking a hands-on Quality Inspector with CMM experience, to ensure overall dimensional quality of the product meets the requirements of their customers.

  • Perform CMM inspections (including standard use of hand tools for measurement) to determine complex product acceptability;

  • Setting up, programming and operating CMM machines;

  • Read and understand engineering drawings, specifications and standards;

  • Develop and maintain CMM programs up to date (Sheffield and/or Brown and Sharpe);

  • Records inspection results on checksheets and test plans;

  • Prepares NCR’s and document defects in accordance with facility requirements;

  • Communicates findings with production team members, engineers, management and customers;

  • Determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures for quality assurance and control.

Skills and experience

  • Must have experience with inspection procedures & processes compliant to AS90100;

  • Experience with CMM machines - Brown and Sharpe CMM w/PC-DMIS software is a plus;

  • Proficient with micrometers, gages, and callipers;

  • Candidate must be able to read and interpret drawings, 3-D solid models;

  • Experience working with Quality Systems (ISO9001, AS90100);

  • Good attitude and willing to work in a team environment.
