Project Engineer/Manager

About the business
Entering an exciting period of growth our client is investing in a major capital project to introduce automation and increase current compacity. So as to strengthen the engineering team we are currently on the lookout for a motivated, proactive and collaborative Project Engineer to assist in site readiness.

About the role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your primary focus will be to scope the project and provide detailed analysis around risk, infrastructure constraints, process improvements and forecasted costs.

Responsibilities

  • Scope project and provide detailed analysis around risk, infrastructure constraints, ie. power and foundations, process improvements and forecasted costs.

  • Develop, cost and project plan in collaboration with the engineering manager

  • Record all equipment, product, process data and risk analysis in a formal document register at site.

  • Coordination of internal and external consultants/contractors as required

  • Develop project key milestones, budget, and timing with senior management.

Skills and experience

  • Previous project engineering experience within the manufacturing or logistics industry

  • Proven ability to plan and prioritize responsibilities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project

  • High attention to detail, thoroughness and accuracy with all project facets

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and succinctly to a variety of audiences from Management to Site Teams, Contractors and Suppliers.
