Maintenance Supervisor

About the business
Located in the South East of Melbourne, this growing food manufacturer has been supplying products direct to industry for over 50 years. To keep their machinery running smoothly and optimise production, we are seeking a hands on Maintenance Supervisor to join their team.

About the role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will require you to plan and coordinate the maintenance activities ensuring plant reliability is kept to a maximum level.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively and efficiently manage mechanical and electrical maintenance activities to ensure all production targets are met.

• Liaise with Production to coordinate and schedule the proposed maintenance plan
  Ensure the maintenance plan is executed effectively

• Implement and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance plan for internal maintenance staff and external contractors

• Identify and implementing continuous improvement strategies

• Take the lead on the team within technical, complex or ad-hoc tasks, repairs or audit
  Support the Engineering Manager to ensure that the maintenance budgets are managed effectively and within agreed guidelines.

Skills and experience

• Minimum degree or trade qualification with a strong electrical or mechanical aptitude

• Excellent technical skills and leadership skills

• CMMS experience desirable

• Strong experience within FMCG manufacturing environment, preferable in the food industry
  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Must have ability to engage with production staff and deliver accurate outcomes within tight time frames
