Key Account Manager ANZ

About the business:

As a one- stop solutions provider our client offers an end to end solution for ITS clients from components and design to the implementation and operation of systems. Due to continued growth of the Australian business they are currently looking for an exceptional Key Account Manager to reinforce commercial relationships, identify and develop new sales projects and grow sales revenue within Australia and New Zealand.

About the role:

Reporting to the VP Sales APAC, your man duties and responsibilities will be to:

  • Identifying new sales opportunities and converting to new business with defined key accounts;

  • Maintaining and reinforcing trusted commercial relationships with key accounts;

  • Identifying tenders and leading the participation in tender procedures;

  • Evaluating the commercial feasibility of proposed customer solutions and project execution plans;

  • Clarifying of technical feasibility with resource delivery and responsible business units;

  • Coordinating all required information inputs into pricing calculation and offer, checking final offer;

  • Established a regular cadence of meetings with key accounts;

  • Consistently responsive and diligent follow-up of sales leads and ongoing opportunities;

  • Thoroughly documenting all customer meetings, customer needs and problems;

  • Achieving revenue targets for defined key accounts;

  • Maintaining and executing a regular sales call plan;

  • Regular and accurate reporting of sales activities and sales forecasts;

  • Regular monitoring of key account satisfaction through survey and other means, and improvement methods implemented where required;

  • Supporting order processing, through delivery and payment;

  • Regular and concise knowledge transfer to relevant internal departments;

  • Attending industry tradeshows and other events; and

  • Working in line with internal processes.

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience working in the Australian and New Zealand markets

  • 10+ years’ experience managing large customer accounts

  • Familiarity with major road infrastructure projects or other complex multibillion-dollar projects

  • Experience in developing commercial offers exceeding AUD$5m

  • Experience developing solutions involving technically and logistically complex engineered solutions

  • Familiarity with legal agreements and developing commercial and technical risk mitigations

  • Proven ability to use Salesforce and MS Office Suite products

  • Strong spreadsheet skills, mathematics skills and powerpoint presentation skills

  • Familiarity with real-time control systems such as PLC, SCADA, and traffic control an advantage

  • Familiarity with Machine Vision, GPS, RFID, DSRC and deep learning AI systems an advantage
