With a reputation for producing premium products for the food services industry, this dynamic organisation is experiencing considerable growth across all areas. To continue to keep their high standards during this growth period, they require the services of systems focused Quality Manager to lead, implement, develop and monitor the quality management systems across the site.

About the role

Reporting to the site Operations Manager, this “hands on” role will see you lead and implement all aspects of the quality function ensuring there is strict adherence to the guidelines set out in the quality management system.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of the Quality department including driving the quality culture

  • Develop the Quality Management System (QMS) and quality check processes.

  • Investigate customer complaints in an effective and efficient manner

  • Implement processes and procedures as outlined in the Quality Management System

  • Establish and maintain records of costs associated with rework and customer complaints

  • Ensure all customer requirements are being met always

  • Provide ongoing coaching and development to the manufacturing team around quality process

Key requirements:

  • Experience in managing a quality team in either food or beverage manufacturing industry

  • Current HACCP / ISO 22000 / SQF /GMP/ BRC experience

  • Minimum Tertiary qualification in Food Sciences

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills

  • Ability to engage with production staff

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate outcomes within tight time frames

  • Translate quality strategy into a relevant vision and action plan for team
